I. Project Background: A New Global Landmark for Ice Hockey

*Project Name: St. Petersburg SKA Arena

*Project Positioning: A super-large, multi-functional arena capable of accommodating 21,500 spectators, primarily serving as the home arena for ice hockey games.

*Technical Challenges: Extreme Low Temperatures: St. Petersburg experiences extremely low temperatures during winter, requiring materials to possess exceptional low-temperature toughness to prevent brittle fracture.

*Complex Exterior Framework: The building employs an extremely complex diagonal grid metal facade, demanding extremely high torsional strength and weld consistency from the steel.

II. Shandong Runhai Steel's Material Supply Solution

Addressing the unique working conditions in St. Petersburg, Shandong Runhai Steel has tailored a special steel supply matrix: Products supplied include: high-strength, low-temperature resistant steel sections, extra-thick carbon steel plates, and large-diameter precision seamless pipes.

III. Technological Highlights: Forging Toughness in Ice and Snow

1. Overcoming Cold Brittleness: A leap forward in low-temperature impact toughness.

2. Solid Core: Z-axis safety assurance for extra-thick plates.

3. Precise Shaping: The structural beauty of large-diameter seamless pipes.

IV. International Cooperation and Service Value

1. In-depth Cross-border Standard Benchmarking: Products not only meet Chinese standards but have also fully passed Russian GOST certification and related technical access requirements.

2. All-Season Fulfillment Capability: Facing St. Petersburg's long winters and complex international transportation environment, Shandong Runhai Steel ensured material continuity during peak construction periods through sea-rail intermodal transport, avoiding significant losses due to work stoppages and material shortages.

3. On-site Technical Support: The company provided remote technical guidance for the welding and maintenance of steel in extremely cold environments, which received high praise from the Russian general contractor.

From the harsh cold of the Baltic coast to the proud construction of the world's largest ice hockey rink, Shandong Runhai Steel's products have withstood the test of nature and the rigorous scrutiny of engineering projects. The construction of the St. Petersburg SKA Arena is not only an important achievement for Shandong Runhai along the Belt and Road Initiative, but also another milestone in the deep cooperation between China and Russia in high-end industry and infrastructure.
